The weather was a little crisp this morning with a lite dusting of snow, but lots of sun for my training ride! I rode the mtb trails for 2.5hrs and then spent a bunch of time driving to a shop where they said they had the part I needed when I called only to get there and have them tell me they had never seen anything like it before....so I went onto their show room floor and found a bike with the same thing but they weren't too interested by that time. So my road bike I bought down here is amazing it rides super smooth, accelarates and climbs nicely and has a good parts groupo of Shimano Ultegra. I like the bike. Oh and it looks good too!
The only not so good thing so far has nothing to do with riding or training. My phone won't accept calls so obviuosly my voice mail isn't working either and I have spent way to many hours on the phone with customer service and tech support to try and have it fixed. Apparently I am not authorized to use the U.S. network even though I pay for it, and it's way more complicated then just adjusting the computer..supposedly I will have to return my phone to the place I bought it...not exactly an option for the next four months.
My first race is going to be this Saturday. It's not a huge race or anything but it will be good to be racing against some other guys and I will be trying out a new bike at the time. A Blue Competitions Bicycle full suspension prototype (full carbon). I am thinking it will ride super nice.
